IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You live in a small apartment building with a parking lot in back, and you often cannot find an empty parking space when you get home from work.

Write a letter to your landlord. In your letter
• describe the situation.
• explain why it bothers you.
• suggest something the landlord could do to solve the problem.

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Mr Smith,

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the parking service of the building, particularly insufficient parking spaces available for building residents.

I face this issue of finding a parking spot on a daily basis particularly in the evenings after returning from my work. As I arrive around 6:40pm, the parking lot is already packed with the cars, leaving no room for my vehicle. This is because almost all residents return home before me and many times I have found their visitors have parked their vehicles.

As a result, to park my vehicle either I have to wait for someone to leave, which take uncertain amount of time or I have to park on the street for which many times I had received parking tickets. It is frustrating to hunt for the space to park daily even though I pay my rent on time.

Therefore, I would like to suggest that you increase the size of the parking lot as well as designated spaces for the visitors so that residents can have free spaces available.
