Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: describing the parking situation, explaining why it is problematic, and suggesting a solution. Your tone is appropriate for a formal letter to a landlord. However, the development of your ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention that the situation 'trigger[s] fight in the tenant', this could be expanded to explain the impact on the living environment more clearly. To reach a higher band, ensure that your explanations are fully developed and that the flow of ideas is more cohesive.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The letter is generally coherent, and the reader can follow your argument. However, the paragraphing is insufficient; the entire body of the letter is presented as one block of text, which makes it harder to read. You should use clear paragraph breaks to separate the situation, the impact, and your suggestions. Additionally, the use of cohesive devices is quite limited. You rely heavily on simple sentence structures and lack a variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'as a result') to connect your ideas smoothly.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. You use basic terms like 'problem' and 'parking spot' repeatedly. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'address about the problem' (should be 'address the problem') and 'caused less parking spot problem'. To improve, try to incorporate more specific vocabulary related to property management and conflict resolution. While your meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated word choice and the presence of minor errors in word formation prevent a higher score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the letter, particularly regarding article usage ('the parking', 'the tenant'), subject-verb agreement ('new tenant came', 'some of the tenant'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, such as 'Which cause they park their while occupied two parking spot.' You rely almost exclusively on simple sentences. To improve, you need to work on using a wider range of complex structures, such as relative clauses and conditional sentences, while ensuring that your basic grammar, including verb tenses and plurals, is more accurate.
