Dear Raman,
My name is Jaspreet Kaur. I am living in your apartment number 204 that is located near Gurdwara Millwoods. I am writing this latter to you inform about parking problem at the back side of the building. This parking space is useully occupied by visitors in morning and evenings who come to Gurdwara sahib, owing to there is no any sign board , this parking is only for tenants. I have to face numerous problems such as i have to wait for 10-15 mintues when i reach at home as same in morning when i go to work and i reach my work late every morning. I am requesting you to make the solution for this issue. So, every person who lives in this apartment can save their time and vehicles because some drivers hit the cars when they try to park cars in apartment "parking space.
Thank you.
Jaspreet Kaur.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all three bullet points: describing the situation, explaining the impact, and suggesting a solution. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a landlord. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention the parking issue, the explanation of why it bothers you could be more detailed to fully convey the frustration. The suggestion to solve the problem is clear, but it lacks specific detail, such as proposing a permit system or reserved signage. To improve, try to expand on your points with more descriptive language and specific examples of how the situation affects your daily routine.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The letter follows a logical progression, moving from the introduction to the problem, its impact, and finally a suggested solution. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite limited and sometimes mechanical. For example, the transition between the problem and the impact is abrupt. The paragraphing is also insufficient; the entire body of the letter is contained in one block, which makes it harder to read. Using clear paragraph breaks for each main point and incorporating a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'as a result') would significantly improve the flow and structure of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You have an adequate range of vocabulary to communicate your message clearly, but there are several errors in word choice and spelling that occasionally hinder the reader. For example, 'latter' is used instead of 'letter', 'useully' is misspelled, and 'owing to there is no any' is grammatically awkward. While you successfully convey the core meaning, the vocabulary is somewhat basic and repetitive. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and ensuring correct spelling. Expanding your vocabulary to include more formal expressions suitable for a letter of complaint will also be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
Your writing shows a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'I am living in your apartment number 204' (should be 'I live'), 'this parking space is useully occupied' (should be 'is usually'), and 'some drivers hit the cars' (should be 'hit our cars'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and capitalization. While these errors do not completely prevent communication, they are frequent enough to distract the reader. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and basic sentence construction will help improve your accuracy.
