Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear landlord
How are you?
I am writing this letter to address an issue which I am currently facing.
Whenever I come home from work or anywhere else specially late at night, it becomes very difficult and sometimes impossible for me to find any parking space in the parking area which becomes very stressful.
In this situation I would like to give an advice which can make things easier for all of us.
To solve this problem parking space can be allotted to every member who owns a car and a fixed monthly amount can be taken from that person. In this way parking space issue can be resolved and everyone will get it's own parking.
I will be looking forward for your cooperation in this matter and I would request you to kindly solve this issue at the earliest.
Thankyou in advance.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The letter covers all three bullet points: describing the parking situation, explaining the impact, and suggesting a solution. However, the response is under the 150-word minimum, which negatively impacts the development of ideas. The explanation of why the situation is bothersome is somewhat brief, and the suggestion could be more detailed to fully address the task requirements. Because the response is under-length, it fails to fully develop the ideas, resulting in a lower score for this criterion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is logically organized with a clear opening and closing. However, the paragraphing is insufficient; the entire body of the letter is presented as a single block of text, which hinders the flow. While there is some use of cohesive devices like 'In this situation' and 'In this way', the transitions between sentences are somewhat mechanical. To improve, you should use clear paragraph breaks to separate the introduction, the problem description, the suggestion, and the closing statement.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'address an issue' and 'make things easier'. There is an attempt to use some relevant vocabulary like 'allotted' and 'cooperation', but the range is limited. To achieve a higher band, try to incorporate more sophisticated collocations and avoid repetitive structures. For example, instead of 'give an advice', use 'propose a solution' or 'suggest a measure'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The letter contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are some grammatical errors, such as 'everyone will get it's own parking' (incorrect use of the possessive 'its') and 'I will be looking forward for your cooperation' (the correct preposition is 'to'). While these errors do not impede communication, they demonstrate a lack of control over more complex grammatical forms. Increasing the variety of sentence structures and ensuring accurate punctuation would help improve this score.
