Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points: describing the situation, explaining the impact, and suggesting a solution. However, the response is significantly under the 150-word minimum requirement, which negatively impacts the development of ideas. The explanation of why the situation is bothersome is somewhat unclear, and the request for extra space for cousins is slightly irrelevant to the core issue of daily parking. To improve, you should expand on the consequences of the parking shortage and provide more detailed, professional suggestions for the landlord to implement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The letter lacks clear paragraphing, which makes the text appear as a single block. While there is a basic logical progression from the problem to the suggestion, the use of cohesive devices is very limited. Transitions between sentences are often missing or mechanical, such as the abrupt shift to the cousin's visit. To reach a higher band, you should use clear paragraph breaks for each section of the letter and employ a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in addition') to connect your ideas more fluidly.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, relying on simple terms like 'problem', 'space', and 'park'. There are several errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'faceing' instead of 'facing' and 'palce' instead of 'place'. The phrasing is often unnatural, such as 'it will be very helpful to me'. To improve, you should focus on using more precise collocations related to housing and parking, and ensure that your spelling is accurate. Expanding your range of vocabulary will help you express your needs more professionally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('I leaving'), missing articles ('regarding empty parking space'), and run-on sentences. The sentence structures are mostly simple, and there is a lack of complex grammatical forms. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the lack of proper sentence termination. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, ensure verbs are correctly conjugated, and practice using complex structures like relative clauses or conditional sentences to add variety to your writing.
