Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The letter addresses all three bullet points: describing the situation, explaining the inconvenience, and suggesting a solution. However, the response is slightly under the 150-word minimum, which impacts the overall task completion. The ideas are relevant but could be developed further to provide a more professional tone. For example, the explanation of why street parking is difficult is a bit repetitive and lacks clarity regarding the specific timing restrictions mentioned. To improve, ensure you meet the word count requirement and expand on the impact of the problem to demonstrate a more thorough response.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. The use of linking words like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'I would therefore' provides a basic logical flow. However, the cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and there are issues with sentence-level connectivity, such as the fragment 'Which has could be considerable uncovienece.' Improving the transition between sentences and ensuring that each paragraph develops a single, clear idea would enhance the coherence of the letter.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There are several spelling errors, such as 'uncovienece' (inconvenience), 'extrementy' (extremely), 'apperciate' (appreciate), and 'allctae' (allocate). Additionally, some word choices are awkward, such as 'parking area fix' instead of 'assigned parking'. To reach a higher band, you should focus on accurate spelling and using more precise collocations related to housing and parking issues.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Examples include 'I recently having issue' (I have recently been having an issue), 'there is no parking area fix' (there is no assigned parking), and 'they do not allowed people' (they do not allow people). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma splices and sentence fragments. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct verb tense usage will significantly improve your score.
