IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You live in a small apartment building with a parking lot in back, and you often cannot find an empty parking space when you get home from work.

Write a letter to your landlord. In your letter
• describe the situation.
• explain why it bothers you.
• suggest something the landlord could do to solve the problem.

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Mr Thomas,

I humbly request your assistance on the issue that has been occurring since I moved in your apartment. Due to the nature of my job, I am often required to return home late at night. I have not been able to park my car in the parking lot and it has given me a lot of concerns, Additionally, it has been increasingly challenging as the number of cars that have been abandoned in the garage is alarming and needs to be treated as urgent as it could increase air pollution and cause fire outbreak.

I would suggest that the parking lot should be restricted to residents only, consequently there will be enough space for air circulation. Furthermore, I would like to recommend the installation of CCTV for security reason as there is an increasing rate of crime in the neigbourhood
