IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You live in a small apartment building with a parking lot in back, and you often cannot find an empty parking space when you get home from work.

Write a letter to your landlord. In your letter
• describe the situation.
• explain why it bothers you.
• suggest something the landlord could do to solve the problem.

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Mr.Smith

I hope you are doing well. I am writing to address an issue related to a parking space. As you already aware of our available parking spaces and number of tenants living in the building.

Everyday when I reach home from work around 4pm in the evening, there is no parking space available in our building. Consequently, I have to park my car on curbside and wait to get an empty parking space. This inconvenience disturbs my sleep schedule. Moreover, yesterday I am not able to move my car from curbside and get a parking ticket of 100$, because it is prohibited to park on curbside from 2am to 6am.

I have noticed that, it is caused by shopping square which is beside our parking. There customers often park their vehicle in our parking. I would recommend you to talk with shopping mall's management and put on signs such as private parking or reserved parking in our building.
