IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You live in a small apartment building with a parking lot in back, and you often cannot find an empty parking space when you get home from work.

Write a letter to your landlord. In your letter
• describe the situation.
• explain why it bothers you.
• suggest something the landlord could do to solve the problem.

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Mr. Ben,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to you to draw your attention towards the regular issue of finding vacant parking at the parking lot.

Since the past 2 months, I have observed that the residential parking space is being occupied by nonresidents. Perhaps since the opening of Grade Hypermarket, outsiders frequently park their cars here now.

It is troublesome to hunt for a parking spot on a daily basis. At times, I have to park my car nearly 3 km from the residence making it extremely exhausting to walk from parking to home, especially in this hot and humid climate conditions.

In my opinion, individual parking spots should be assigned to the residents of the building along with a watchman assigned to ensure that only the designated people park in the space, as residents should have the first priority.
