Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You successfully covered all parts of the letter prompt. You described the situation regarding the parking lot, explained why it bothers you due to long work shifts and the inconvenience of public parking, and suggested a clear solution to the landlord. Your tone is suitably direct for a complaint letter. However, the development of some points is a bit limited, particularly in the description and suggestions, which places this response comfortably at Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is generally coherent and follows a logical structure from the opening statement to the closing remarks. Paragraphing is attempted to separate the introduction, body points, and conclusion. However, cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or missing entirely, such as in the transition between sentences in the second paragraph ("As when we move... Howeever, every day when i am come..."). Referencing is occasionally unclear, but the overall message remains understandable, aligning with a Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your message about the parking space issue. You attempted some less common phrases like "alternative accommodation" and "prompt attention". However, there are numerous noticeable word choice and spelling errors, such as "avaible", "Howeever", "worl", "felling", "tried", "requsesting", and "refound". These errors do not completely impede communication, but they restrict your lexical score to Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
You used a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional structures ("if you do not solve this problem give us...") and relative clauses. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the letter, including tense inconsistencies ("when we move", "i am come"), missing articles ("at public parking area"), and punctuation issues (extra spaces before commas). These errors cause some difficulty for the reader and prevent you from reaching a higher band, resulting in a score of 5.0.
