IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You live in a small apartment building with a parking lot in back, and you often cannot find an empty parking space when you get home from work.

Write a letter to your landlord. In your letter
• describe the situation.
• explain why it bothers you.
• suggest something the landlord could do to solve the problem.

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Smith,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to you to inform you about one of my every day challenge, as a resident of this building. From last five months, I face a lot of trouble in finding empty parking space when I return home from work.

Previosuly, I was not facing such problem because the parking lot was only available to the building residents. However, since couple of months, outsiders have started to use our parking space. As a result, it takes me hours to find an empty space and sometimes I even have to park my car else where, which compromises the security of my vehicle.

Furthermore, due to this reason, I am mostly reaching home late and unable to give my children enough time. Therefore, it is effecting my family too. I would request you to take immediate action to prevent outsiders from using our parking space.

Moreover, I would suggest you to use barcodes, which is a mordern practice. All the cars of the building residents could have barcodes and only after successful scan, our cars should be allowed entry to the parking lot.

I look forward to a strict action from your side.
