Student answer (Band 9.0)
Dear Sam,
I hope you're doing well. I wanted to tell you about the holiday cottage I've rented for a week because I'm having such a wonderful time here.
The house is small but incredibly cosy, with two comfortable bedrooms, a spacious living room, and a modern kitchen. It also has a lovely wooden balcony overlooking a beautiful lake surrounded by green hills. The peaceful atmosphere and fresh air make it the perfect place to relax and escape from the busy city.
I've been spending my days exploring the nearby forests, taking long walks by the lake, and reading books on the balcony. In the evenings, I usually prepare dinner, watch the sunset, and enjoy a barbecue in the garden. It's been a fantastic opportunity to unwind and recharge after a hectic few months.
I really wish you were here to enjoy this experience with me. If you're free next weekend, why don't you come and stay for a couple of days? We could go hiking, rent a boat on the lake, and have a great time together. I'm sure you'd absolutely love this place.
I hope to hear from you soon. Let me know if you can make it!
Best wishes,

The lexical range is sufficient and used with good control.
