Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The letter addresses all three bullet points: describing the house, explaining how time is spent, and inviting the friend. However, the development of these points is somewhat limited. The description of the house is brief, and the invitation is phrased in a slightly demanding way ('you've to take permission'), which does not quite capture the natural tone expected in a letter to a friend. While the task is fully addressed, the ideas could be expanded with more descriptive detail to reach a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. Cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'In addition of this' are used to link sentences. However, some of these transitions feel a bit mechanical or slightly misused, such as 'In addition of this'. The referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be smoother to improve the overall readability of the letter.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their message clearly. There are some attempts at more descriptive language, such as 'clear views of sunset and rise', though the phrasing is slightly unnatural. Some word choices are imprecise, such as 'closely build at edge' instead of 'built close to the edge'. The range is sufficient for the task, but more precise collocations and a wider variety of descriptive adjectives would enhance the quality of the writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The letter contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'near to the lake' (should be 'near the lake'), 'closely build' (should be 'closely built'), and 'going for ride the motor boats' (should be 'going for rides on motor boats'). While these errors are noticeable, they do not impede communication. To improve, the student should focus on verb forms, preposition usage, and ensuring subject-verb agreement in more complex sentences.
