Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all three bullet points: describing the house, explaining your activities, and inviting your friend. However, the response is 142 words, which is below the 150-word minimum requirement. This under-length negatively impacts your score. To improve, you should expand on the descriptions. For example, instead of just listing rooms, you could describe the view of the lake or the atmosphere of the house. Similarly, you could provide more detail about the 'outdoor games' or the specific plans you have for the visit to ensure you comfortably meet the length requirement and provide a more fully developed response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is generally easy to follow, and you have used basic paragraphing to separate your ideas. You use some cohesive devices like 'Moreover' and 'In addition' (implied), but the flow between sentences is sometimes a bit mechanical. The transition between the introduction and the description of the house is slightly abrupt. To improve, try to use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence. The logical progression is present, but it could be smoother with more sophisticated transitions.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You have an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using words like 'memorable' and 'activities'. However, there are some word choice errors, such as 'make some memorable movements' (should be 'memories') and 'I positive response' (should be 'a positive response'). These errors do not impede communication, but they do show a need for more precise vocabulary usage. To reach a higher band, focus on using more natural collocations and ensure that your word choices are contextually appropriate for a friendly letter.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are several grammatical errors. For example, 'I am writing this letter regarding because' is redundant, and 'I would like to suggest you that you should' is grammatically incorrect (it should be 'suggest that you...'). There are also issues with articles ('the house has three bedrooms, kitchen...') and the closing 'Your faithfully' (should be 'Yours faithfully'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they occur frequently enough to limit your score in this criterion.
