Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have successfully addressed all three bullet points: describing the house, explaining your activities, and inviting your friend. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend, and the purpose of the letter is clear throughout. To improve, ensure that your descriptions are more vivid; for example, instead of just saying the house is 'well designed,' you could provide more specific details about the view or the layout. Additionally, ensure that the invitation is more personal and enthusiastic to better reflect the informal nature of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your ideas. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'If you are thinking about,' to connect your thoughts. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes a bit mechanical. To reach a higher band, try to use a wider variety of linking words and phrases to improve the transition between ideas. For instance, instead of starting sentences with 'The house is,' try varying your sentence structure to create a smoother narrative flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to communicate your ideas clearly, such as 'fully furnished' and 'pocket friendly.' However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'leaving area' (should be 'living area') and 'get together with us' (which is slightly awkward in this context). To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensure you are using the correct terminology for household features. Expanding your vocabulary to include more descriptive adjectives would also enhance your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'me and Rajwant rented' (should be 'Rajwant and I rented'), 'which is decorates' (should be 'which is decorated'), and 'we will planning' (should be 'we will be planning'). Additionally, there are issues with verb tenses and subject-verb agreement. To improve, focus on proofreading your work for basic tense consistency and ensuring that your complex sentences are constructed accurately.
