Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points: describing the house, explaining how you spend your time, and inviting your friend. However, the development of these points is somewhat limited. For example, while you mention the house has three bedrooms and laundry, the description lacks detail to fully engage the reader. The tone is generally appropriate for a letter to a friend, though the use of capital letters throughout the entire text is inappropriate for formal or informal writing tasks and should be avoided. To improve, try to expand on your descriptions with more descriptive adjectives and personal anecdotes.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite limited and sometimes mechanical. For instance, you rely heavily on simple sentence structures and lack a variety of linking words to connect your ideas smoothly. The transition between describing the house and your activities is abrupt. To improve, try using a wider range of cohesive devices such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in addition' to link your sentences and paragraphs more naturally.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your message, but there are several spelling errors (e.g., 'DISCUUSED', 'AMBIENT' used incorrectly for 'ambience', 'SURROENDED', 'TRESS', 'EQUIPED', 'UTENSILES'). Additionally, some word choices are slightly unnatural, such as 'take alook of picturesque view'. To reach a higher band, focus on accurate spelling and using more precise collocations. For example, instead of 'take a look of', you could use 'admire the picturesque view'. Expanding your vocabulary to include more descriptive adjectives would also enhance your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'I PURCHASED A HOUSE A LAKE' (missing preposition), 'THERE A PARK' (missing verb 'is'), and 'WHEN YOU GONNA VISIT ME' (informal/incorrect grammar). There are also issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the clarity of your writing. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like missing articles and incorrect verb forms.
