Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points of the task: describing the house, explaining how you spend your time, and inviting your friend. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention the house has two bedrooms and a kitchen, more descriptive detail would have made the letter more engaging. Similarly, the invitation is quite brief. To improve, try to expand on your descriptions by adding sensory details or specific anecdotes about your time at the lake to fully satisfy the requirements of a Band 7 or higher.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is logically organized into paragraphs, each focusing on a specific part of the prompt. You use basic cohesive devices like 'The house is...', 'I'm enjoying...', and 'I would like to...'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of linking words is limited. For example, the transition between the description of the house and your daily activities could be smoother. To improve, try using a wider variety of cohesive devices such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in addition' to connect your ideas more naturally and improve the overall progression of the text.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey your message clearly. You use some descriptive terms like 'furnished', 'modern appliances', and 'mesmerizing'. However, there are several instances of awkward phrasing or incorrect word choices, such as 'I'm feeling myself very happy' (should be 'I am very happy') and 'well arrange kitchen' (should be 'well-arranged'). Additionally, 'ever best time' is not a standard collocation. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and natural idiomatic expressions that are appropriate for informal correspondence.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'as in this summer season I'm shifted' (should be 'this summer I have moved'), 'a sports grounds is' (subject-verb agreement error), and 'like as my favorite game' (incorrect preposition usage). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and sentence fragments. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they indicate a need for more careful proofreading and a better grasp of verb tenses and sentence structure.
