Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You described the house as spacious and beautiful, explained how you spend your time (walking, writing, and enjoying the balcony), and extended a clear invitation to your friend. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend, and the purpose of the letter is clear throughout. To reach a higher band, ensure that your ideas are slightly more developed; for instance, you could describe the lake's surroundings in more detail or suggest specific activities for your friend's visit to make the invitation feel more personal and engaging.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter follows a logical progression, moving from the introduction to the description of the house, then to your daily routine, and finally the invitation. However, the paragraphing is currently absent, which makes the text look like a single block. Using clear paragraph breaks between the different topics would significantly improve the readability and structure. Additionally, while you use some cohesive devices like 'Apart from this' and 'also', the flow between sentences could be smoother. Try to use a wider variety of linking words to connect your ideas more naturally rather than relying on simple conjunctions.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your message clearly, such as 'spacious', 'hustle and bustle', and 'overlook'. There are some minor spelling errors, such as 'ORGANZIED' instead of 'organized', 'LIESURE' instead of 'leisure', and 'KNOE' instead of 'know'. These do not impede communication, but they do affect the overall impression. To improve, try to incorporate more descriptive adjectives or idiomatic expressions related to nature or relaxation to enhance the vividness of your writing. Focus on accuracy in spelling to ensure your writing appears polished.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as 'I have been spending most of the time by walking...' and '...while enjoying the view of lake'. However, there are several grammatical errors, including tense inconsistencies (e.g., 'I always went' instead of 'I always go') and missing articles (e.g., 'beside the lake' instead of 'beside the lake'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some sentences lacking proper capitalization or containing unnecessary commas. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage will help you achieve a higher score in this criterion.
