Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response covers all three bullet points required in the task instructions. You successfully describe the rented house as being small, located near a lake, with two bedrooms, a kitchen, a living area, and a front garden. You also describe how you spend your time there, mentioning morning routines like looking out the window and drinking tea in the garden. Finally, you extend a clear invitation to your friend Raman to visit. Although some of the descriptions and ideas could be further extended with more descriptive details, all parts of the task are adequately addressed. Therefore, this performance aligns well with the requirements for a Band 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter follows a clear paragraph structure, dedicating distinct paragraphs to the greeting, the description of the house, daily activities, and the invitation. Cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'In addition of this', 'Firstly', and 'Furthermore' are used to connect ideas, though some transitional phrases sound a bit mechanical or unnatural, such as 'In addition of this'. Referencing is generally clear, but paragraphing and overall logical flow could be improved with more varied and subtle linking expressions. Overall, the organization is coherent, fitting the descriptors for Band 6.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, with standard everyday terms related to housing and daily routines, such as 'rented house', 'bedrooms', 'kitchen', 'garden', and 'cup of tea'. However, there are noticeable inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'The house is a very small which is located', 'different kind of flowers' (instead of kinds), and 'nature beauty' (instead of natural beauty). You attempt some less common expressions, but minor errors persist. This level of lexical control corresponds to a Band 5.5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The response displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as 'I felt very relaxed and energetic because of nature beauty'. However, there are several grammatical errors and punctuation issues throughout the text, including missing articles ('in front of house'), incorrect relative clauses ('The house is a very small which is located'), tense slips ('then i saw' instead of see), and spacing errors around punctuation. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent the grammar score from rising above Band 5.5.
