Dear Arsh,

I am absolutely delighted and cherish to announce that recently I have rented a house on the shore of a lake in your town for my summer vacations,

To commence with, I am aware about your love with nature and you will enjoy your leisure time here in the bed of the nature, This property is a double story bungalow with a huge swimming pool and balcony on the corner of a tulip garden. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You cover all three requested points: you describe the bungalow, mention the pool, balcony and nearby lake, explain that you can fish and swim, and invite Arsh to visit. The invitation is clear, especially in “I am inviting you to my house,” and the friendly closing suits the audience. However, some parts are less fully developed: the description gives few details about the house itself, and your account of how you spend your time is mainly a suggestion of activities rather than a description of what you are currently doing. The birthday invitation also introduces a specific occasion without explaining the date clearly. Add a few concrete details about the house and your daily routine, and make the visit arrangements more precise.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a recognisable opening, a main section containing the description and invitation, and a suitable closing. The ideas are generally relevant and the reader can follow the overall purpose. However, most of the content is placed in one long paragraph, so the house description, activities and invitation are not clearly separated. Connectors such as “To commence with,” “Therefore,” and “Not only this” make the progression feel somewhat mechanical, and the relationship between the birthday and the proposed Friday visit is not fully clear. Use separate paragraphs for the house, your activities and the invitation, and link ideas more naturally—for example, explain how the lake and garden shape your daily routine before inviting your friend.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of vocabulary for a friendly letter, including descriptive phrases such as “double story bungalow,” “huge swimming pool” and “tulip garden.” These details help the reader picture the setting, and “create lifetime memories” shows an attempt to use more expressive language. Some less common choices are inaccurate or unnatural, however: “cherish to announce,” “in the bed of the nature,” and “celebrate your birthday” do not fit the intended meaning or context smoothly. There are also spelling errors in “freh” and “ivitation.” Aim for natural collocations and a consistent informal tone; straightforward phrases such as “I’m excited to tell you” can be more effective than overly formal wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including “because there is a famous… lake just one minute away from my house,” and the main message remains understandable. Some grammatical errors are noticeable, though. The opening sentence has an incomplete construction (“I am absolutely delighted and cherish to announce”), and the long sentence beginning “To commence with” joins several ideas without clear sentence boundaries. There are also errors in forms and patterns, such as “on oncoming friday” and “lets spend,” where the intended invitation needs a correctly formed verb phrase and punctuation. Break long sentences into shorter units, check verb forms and articles, and use commas and full stops to make each idea clear.
