Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three requirements: you explain why you rented the house, describe its large living room, bedrooms and balcony views, and mention swimming, rafting and cycling. The invitation is clear, and offering accommodation helps make it relevant to your friend. These details show good coverage of the task. However, some points are less fully developed: the house description could give a clearer picture of its location and features, while the activities are listed rather than expanded with a specific example or personal detail. The closing also refers to tickets being attached, which is unclear in this context. Developing these details and making the invitation more specific would make the letter more complete and engaging.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The letter has a recognisable sequence: it opens with the invitation, explains the reason for renting, describes the house and activities, and ends by asking for a reply. Paragraph breaks help separate these topics. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, and several ideas are joined with commas or abrupt transitions, as in “Basically, i spend my day while doing swimming and rafting .most of the day…” The connectors “because of that” and “morevoer” do not always create smooth links, and the final invitation and ticket detail are crowded together. Use clearer sentence boundaries and organise the description and activities into distinct, logically connected sentences.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant descriptive language, including “breathtaking experience,” “attached dressers,” “balcony,” and “trails,” which helps convey the setting and activities. The vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the main message, but errors in spelling, word choice and collocation are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “beautifull,” “unfortunatley,” “utilide,” and “accomadation”; “nearby the lake” and “spend my day while doing swimming” are also unnatural expressions. Aim to check spelling and learn common word partnerships, especially for describing accommodation and leisure activities. More precise phrasing would make the letter sound more natural and fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the reader can generally understand the intended meaning. However, control is inconsistent, particularly in verb forms, articles, agreement and sentence boundaries. For example, “it really have large rooms” needs subject–verb agreement, while “i spend my day while doing swimming” has an awkward verb construction. The opening phrase “invite you to house” is missing an article, and “i hope will get good revert from you” lacks a clear subject and uses an incomplete structure. Commas and full stops are also often misplaced, creating run-on or fragmented sentences. Practise checking each sentence for a subject and verb, then review articles and punctuation.
