Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

You address all three requested points: you describe the rented house and its garden and pool, explain how you spend your days, and clearly invite Ranna to visit. Details such as playing in the pool, watering plants, and watching films with your boyfriend make the letter personal and relevant. The invitation is warm, and the reader can understand why a visit would be enjoyable. Some description is less fully developed: the house itself is characterised mainly as “so beautiful,” while the activities are listed quickly. Add a little more about the rooms or lakeside setting, and give the invitation practical details such as when to come or how long to stay, to extend the ideas further.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a recognisable structure, with an opening, a paragraph about the house and your routine, and a closing invitation. The ideas are generally relevant and the reader can follow the overall message. However, several points are crowded into one long middle paragraph, and the sequence becomes difficult to track in “Since I have moved here for summers, I am spending my whole day, starting with playing in pool, watering the plants and then it has big screen television…” The linkers “So” and “Then” also feel mechanical, and “it” does not clearly refer to the house or the television. Separate the house description from your daily routine, and use clearer transitions and references to make the progression smoother.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough vocabulary to communicate the setting and activities, including “stunning flowering plants,” “indoor games,” and “peaceful and beautiful.” These details give the letter a friendly, personal tone. However, the range is limited in places, with repeated general words such as “beautiful,” “fun,” and “big,” and some phrases are not natural collocations, including “invite you at my new house” and “spending my whole day.” There are also spelling errors in “activies,” “televsion,” and “peacefull,” which reduce accuracy. Choose more precise descriptions and check spelling carefully; for example, describe the house as “charming” or “spacious,” and say you are “spending my days” there.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the main message remains understandable. However, the longer sentences are often not controlled successfully, as in “Since I have moved here for summers, I am spending my whole day, starting with playing in pool, watering the plants and then it has big screen television…” This combines ideas without a clear grammatical structure. There are also errors with articles and sentence construction: “It has been long time” needs an article, and “the is many indoor games” has incorrect word order and agreement. The invitation sentence also needs a clearer structure. Practise building accurate complex sentences, and check articles, verb forms, and agreement before combining several activities in one sentence.
