Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three parts of the task: you describe the rented house, explain some daily activities, and invite your friend to visit. Details such as the four rooms, the lake view, cycling, walking and reading make the letter relevant and personal. The invitation is also clear in “please come with me.” However, some points are less fully developed: the house description is difficult to picture because details such as “corner side” are unclear, and the activities are listed rather than explained. Add a little more specific information—for example, what you enjoy about the walks or what you could do together—to make the ideas clearer and more fully developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The letter follows a generally sensible order, moving from the house to your routine and then to the invitation. This gives the reader an overall sense of the message. However, most of the response is presented as one long sequence, so the shifts between topics are not always easy to follow. Some connections are also unclear, particularly in the house description and the sentence about reading and looking out of the window. Use separate paragraphs for the house, your activities, and the invitation, and connect related details with clear linking phrases. This would improve progression and make the relationships between ideas easier to understand.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “lake,” “beautiful view,” “cycle,” and “invite,” and the reader can identify the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make parts difficult to understand, such as “near by leke,” “readromentic book,” and “show oute of window.” Some phrases, including “corner side” and “go with you,” do not express the intended meaning clearly. Build a bank of accurate phrases for describing a home and leisure activities, and check spelling and collocations. More precise choices such as “overlooking the lake” and “go for a bike ride” would make the letter clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You communicate using mainly simple sentence patterns and make some attempts to join ideas, but control of sentence structure is not yet consistent. For example, “there is 4 rooms in this house” has an agreement error, while “i live here and also 1sister living with me” lacks a complete, correctly formed clause. Verb forms also need attention: “every day i do walk ride cycle and cooked some food” mixes forms, and “i wakeup firstly go” joins actions without clear grammatical links. Practise complete sentences, subject–verb agreement, articles, and consistent verb forms. Full stops and capital letters will also help separate ideas and make the message easier to read.
