Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points: you describe the rented house, explain planned activities, and invite Himayu to visit. Details such as the four bedrooms, swimming pool, card games and tent make the letter relevant, and “please try to come” gives a clear invitation. However, some parts are less fully developed: the house description is brief, and the activities are mostly listed rather than explained as your actual routine. The response also falls three words short of the required minimum, so add a little more detail—for example, what you enjoy about the lakeside setting or when your friend should visit. This would make the information more complete and personal.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The ideas follow a broadly sensible order, moving from the reason for renting the house to its features, activities and the invitation. This gives the reader an overall sense of the message. However, most of the letter is presented as one long paragraph, and the sequence of activities is joined repeatedly with “and,” “after all” and “after that.” These links sometimes make the progression feel mechanical or unclear. Separate the house description, your activities and the invitation into paragraphs, and use clearer transitions such as “In the afternoons” or “In the evening.” This would make the organisation easier to follow and reduce repetition.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “lake,” “swimming pool,” “playing cards,” “tent” and “party.” The reader can understand the general picture of the holiday. However, the range is limited, and several spelling or word-choice errors make the writing less natural, such as “ranted” for “rented,” “presious,” “baverages” and “appriciated.” Some phrases are also awkward, including “perfect place to keep memorable” and “sit back of the house.” Check spelling carefully and choose more natural expressions, such as “a perfect place to make memories” and “sit behind the house.” More precise vocabulary would make the description clearer and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the basic message is generally understandable. However, the longer sentences often combine several ideas without reliable grammatical control. For example, “the house is four bedroom and all the room is…” has errors in number agreement, while “we will spend time with playing cards” uses an incorrect verb pattern. There are also problems with articles and sentence boundaries, as well as inconsistent capitalisation at the start of sentences and for “I.” Practise forming accurate simple sentences first, then connect them with conjunctions or full stops. Correct agreement and verb patterns would make your meaning easier to follow.
