IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You rode in a taxi yesterday. When you got home, you realized you had left your bag in the taxi.

Write a letter to the manager of the taxi company. In your letter
• explain how you lost your bag.
• describe your bag.
• ask the manager to help you find it.

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Hopefully you are doing well.

My name is Mr. A. I live in Dubai. I am working as salesman due to which I have to travel a lot throughout the day. Like every day I hired your company taxi from my office in Downtown to Dubai mall for an urgent client meeting.

By the end of meeting, i went to home with same company taxi. After having my dinner, I tried to find out my hand bag which is brown leather bag approximately same size of a regular laptop bag. I searched everywhere in my house but unfortunately did not it. I remember when I left office, I was carrying the bag but I do not remember exactly either I forgot my bag either going to mall or returning from mall to my home in Barsha Heights.

It being requested you to help me out to trace my bag. I don’t remember exactly taxi numbers but i can tell you the travel time. Down to Dubai mall by 5pm and return mall to Barsha Heights around 7:15pm.
