IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You rode in a taxi yesterday. When you got home, you realized you had left your bag in the taxi.

Write a letter to the manager of the taxi company. In your letter
• explain how you lost your bag.
• describe your bag.
• ask the manager to help you find it.

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Dear Sir,

I am writing for your help in finding my office bag which I left in a taxi owned by your company yesterday.

I rode in a taxi from my office at 2nd Ave west to the Cassiar Avenue around 5:00 pm. On arrival, when I paid the fair for the trip, and I forgot to carry my bag, since I was engaged in talking on the cellphone. When I realized that I left my bag in the cab, the cab already left the street. Furthermore, I did not note the license plate number of the cab, but I remember that it was a yellow cab.

It was a black bag made of leather, and it seems like a briefcase. It has three pockets with a zip, and handles on the top to carry it. It contains my laptop, some office files and a office ID. Moreover, if we look at the bottom of the bag, you will find a tag with my name.

I was wondering if you could ask your drivers who drove the cab around that area have found my bags. If anyone find it please request them to drop the bag in your office, from where I can collect it. I would also give a reward to the driver. Please let me know once you find the bag.
