Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this letter to inform you about my lost bag while i qas travelling by one of taxi in your company.
Actually, i took taxi from toronto airport terminal 3 and heading off to my house in brampton. I had a lot of luggage which i kept in car trunk. When i have reached to my destination, there was too dark on the road. so, i could not see properly in the car and i think i left my one bag over there.
It was very expensive bag of KV company and of red colour. It has two handle on both sides. it is almost 40 inches wide and 30 inches long. there is one famous logo of kv company at the top of the bag as well.
I have all important documents in that bag. I can send you the information of taxi number plate and receipt of online payment if you need. please help me to find it as soon as possible. I will really appreciate to you.
yours faithfully

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The letter covers all three bullet points required by the prompt: explaining how the bag was lost, describing the bag, and requesting assistance. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter to a company manager. The ideas are clearly presented, and the purpose of the letter is immediately obvious. To reach a higher band, the student could provide more specific details, such as the date and time of the journey or the specific taxi number, to make the request more actionable and professional.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is logically organized into paragraphs, with each paragraph focusing on a specific aspect of the task. There is a clear progression of ideas from the initial explanation to the description and finally the request for help. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat limited and occasionally mechanical. For instance, the transition between sentences could be smoother, and the use of linking words like 'consequently' or 'furthermore' would improve the flow between ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to describe the situation and the bag clearly. However, there is a lack of variety and some inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'KV company' (which is likely a brand name, but the phrasing is repetitive) and 'I will really appreciate to you' (which is grammatically incorrect). The student relies on basic descriptors like 'expensive' and 'red'. Incorporating more precise adjectives and collocations would enhance the quality of the writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. Examples include 'i qas travelling' (spelling), 'one of taxi' (missing article/pluralization), 'there was too dark' (incorrect usage), and 'I have all important documents' (tense inconsistency). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the message, they are frequent enough to impact the overall fluency and accuracy of the text.
