Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The letter covers all three bullet points: explaining how the bag was lost, describing it, and requesting assistance. However, the response is significantly under the 150-word minimum, which limits the development of ideas. The explanation of how the bag was lost is somewhat unclear due to grammatical errors, and the description of the bag's contents is a bit disjointed. To improve, you should expand on the details of your journey and the specific contents of the bag to meet the length requirement and provide a more professional tone suitable for a formal letter.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The letter lacks clear paragraphing and logical progression. While the purpose of the letter is identifiable, the transition between ideas is abrupt. There is a lack of cohesive devices (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in addition') to link sentences together. The structure is quite fragmented, making it difficult for the reader to follow the narrative of the event. Improving the use of linking words and organizing the content into distinct paragraphs (introduction, body, and conclusion) would significantly enhance the flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. There are several errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'manu lunga' (likely meant 'many bags'), 'regions papaer' (likely 'original papers'), and 'paer' (paper). The phrasing is often unnatural, which hinders the clarity of the message. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using more precise vocabulary related to travel and lost property, and ensure that your spelling is accurate. Avoid informal abbreviations like 'nd' and ensure that your word choices are appropriate for a formal business letter.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that impede communication. Examples include 'I am one of daily customer you taxi' (incorrect articles and prepositions), 'I am writing is letter' (verb tense error), and 'If any anyone as found it in give us' (syntax and verb usage errors). The sentence structures are mostly simple and contain significant errors in subject-verb agreement and tense. You need to focus on basic sentence construction, correct verb tenses, and proper use of articles to improve the accuracy of your writing.
