Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
You address all three points: you explain that you were tired after work and left the bag in the taxi, describe it as a small black backpack with three zips and a key chain, and ask the manager to help locate it. The details about the name tag and important documents make the request relevant, and the purpose of the letter is clear throughout. To make the response more fully developed, give a more specific account of the journey or when you noticed the bag was missing, and make the requested action explicit—for example, ask the company to contact the driver and check the vehicle. This would extend the ideas and make the practical request more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a recognisable progression from explaining the loss, to describing the bag, to requesting help, and the closing is appropriate. Paragraphing helps separate the main points. You also use linking expressions such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “In addition,” so the reader can follow the sequence. However, several connectors are used mechanically, and the description is packed into one paragraph, making the links between details less natural. The sentence beginning “In addition” could be joined more smoothly to the bag description, while the request and follow-up could form a clearer final paragraph. More varied referencing and fewer formulaic transitions would make the organisation feel more fluent.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the situation and identify the bag, including “documents,” “key chain,” “name tag,” and “earliest convenience.” The description gives the manager useful identifying details. However, several noticeable word-choice, spelling, and collocation problems limit precision: “backbag” should be “backpack,” “small black colour” is not a natural description, and “request regarding” is awkward. “Greatful” and “tiem” are also misspelled, while “my location” is unclear in this context. Choose conventional terms and check spelling, and use more precise phrases such as “a small black backpack” and “a key ring bearing my name.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, for example, the sentence explaining that you were tired and left the bag, and the longer description beginning “In addition.” The main message remains understandable, and the letter includes a range of clauses. Some grammatical errors remain, however. In “yesterday I took taxi,” an article is needed; “I forget” should be “I forgot” to keep the past tense consistent; and “which matchs” has an incorrect verb form and agreement. The sentence “there is a key chain on the one of the zips” also has an inaccurate article pattern. Review articles, past-tense consistency, and subject–verb agreement, then proofread punctuation, including the missing full stop after “convenience.”
