Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three required points: you explain that you were on a call and in a hurry, describe the bag’s shape, material, pocket and brand, and ask the manager to contact the driver. These details make the letter relevant and give the company useful clues. However, some information is unclear or less fully developed: “the number is taxi123” does not clearly identify whether this is the taxi’s registration number, and the request about providing your address and having the driver return the bag is difficult to follow. To strengthen the response, clarify the journey details and state precisely what action you want the manager to take. The main purpose is clear, although not every point is communicated equally clearly or fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The letter follows a broadly sensible order: it explains the journey, describes the bag, and then makes a request. This overall arrangement helps the reader understand the purpose. However, the response is presented as one long block, so the shifts between these points are not clearly signposted. Some links between ideas are also awkward, particularly the sentence beginning “for my bag can you please contact…” and the explanation of how the driver could return it. Use separate paragraphs for the circumstances, description and request, and connect sentences with clear references such as “The bag is…” and “If it has been found…”. This would make the progression easier to follow and reduce the impression of loosely joined ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “leather material”, “edges are curved”, “pocket for water bottle” and “contact the taxi driver”, which helps convey the bag’s features and your request. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts less clear, such as “coustmer”, “arrivied”, “prive” and “bappriciated”. Some phrases are also unnatural, including “import bag” and “involving with the call”. Choose more precise, conventional expressions and check spelling carefully; for example, “valuable bag”, “distracted by a phone call” and “I would appreciate your assistance” would suit this formal letter. Greater accuracy and variety would make the message easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to combine ideas in longer sentences, for example when explaining that you were in a hurry and on the phone as the taxi arrived. This shows some range, but the longer constructions are often difficult to control. In “when i was done with my work privious day i had booked taxi”, the time reference and verb forms are unclear, and several clauses run together without effective punctuation. Articles and sentence structure also need attention, as in “it was rectangle bag” and “one side the is pocket”. Use a mix of shorter, complete sentences and carefully formed complex sentences, with consistent past-tense narration. Correct sentence boundaries, articles and punctuation will make the events and request clearer.
