Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.5

The letter addresses all three required points: you explain that you left the bag after getting out during a video call, describe it as a black Coach handbag with gold zips, and ask the manager to contact the driver. The request is clear and the detail about the booking app and vehicle number plate gives the company a practical way to investigate. The purpose and tone are appropriate for a formal complaint or enquiry. To make the response more fully developed, clarify the sequence of events and provide any identifying details available, such as the journey time or booking reference. The contents of the bag are mentioned, but the description of the bag itself could be more distinctive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0

The information is arranged in a sensible order: the reason for the journey and how the bag was left, its appearance and contents, then the request for help. Paragraphing supports this progression, and phrases such as “As far as appearance is concerned” and “In addition to this” signal the relationship between ideas. The letter is easy to follow overall. Some connections are less smooth, however: “During the travel” moves abruptly into the video call, and the final sentence combines the request, the driver, and the number-plate information in a crowded structure. Use clearer sequencing and divide that final information into shorter sentences to make the progression more controlled.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range for the situation, including relevant terms such as “handbag,” “gold zips,” “bank cards,” and “number plates.” “Owing to issues with my car” and “I would appreciate it if” also show attempts at more formal phrasing. Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or imprecise, though: “got video call” and “information of number plates” are not natural expressions, while “valuable items and my cards in” is awkwardly phrased. There are also spelling and spacing slips, including “accidently,” “ablack,” and “licencses.” More precise, conventional phrases would improve clarity and the formal register without requiring more elaborate vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

The letter includes a mix of simple and more complex forms, such as “Owing to issues with my car, I had to book…” and “I would appreciate it if you could contact…”. The main events are generally expressed in the past tense, and the request is understandable. Some grammatical errors remain, including missing or incorrect articles and prepositions in “book taxi from my work location” and “left my bag in car.” The sentence beginning “I would appreciate it…” also becomes difficult to control when the extra clause about the number plates is attached to it. Check article use, sentence boundaries, and the structure of embedded clauses; these changes would make the message more accurate while preserving its range.
