Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three required points: you explain that you forgot the bag while travelling from the airport, describe it as a purse gifted by your father and identify its contents, and ask the manager to contact the driver. These details make the purpose clear and relevant. The explanation of how it was lost is present, but the sequence is somewhat unclear, and the description could be more precise—for example, give the bag’s colour, size, or another identifying feature. The request, “find a taxi driver and contact them,” is also vague; specify that the company should identify the taxi and check whether the driver found the bag. This covers the task well overall, though some details need fuller development.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a recognisable progression from explaining the journey, to describing the bag and its contents, to requesting help. Paragraph breaks support this structure, and phrases such as “As a result” and “So” signal relationships between ideas. However, some links are mechanical or unclear: “As I informed earlier” does not refer to information given earlier in the letter, and the long paragraph beginning “As I informed earlier” combines the reason for bringing belongings with the bag description. The shift from “I” to “they” in the account of the arrangements also makes the reference less clear. Use shorter, focused paragraphs and clearer links between the circumstances, the bag’s identifying details, and your request.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use vocabulary relevant to the situation, including “assistance,” “arrangements,” “important document,” and “prompt response,” and the reader can generally understand what you mean. There are, however, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, such as “writting,” “engagment,” “Beacuse,” “pic up,” “ocasion,” and “appericate.” Some expressions are also imprecise or unnatural: “good amount of stuff” and “luxurious bag” do not identify the item as clearly as more specific wording would. Check spelling carefully and choose precise terms for the bag and its contents. For example, “designer handbag” is more natural than “luxurious bag,” while “personal documents” is clearer than “important document.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause with “because” and a result clause beginning “As a result.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors sometimes make the relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “Beacuse of my sister was busy,” which needs a different clause structure, and “I wanted to explored the city,” where the verb form is incorrect. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “I had 3 bags with me and my backpack also the purse.” Practise building accurate clauses and separating related details into complete sentences. More consistent control of tense and sentence structure would make the letter easier to read.
