Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points: explaining why you are no longer using the bike, describing it, and explaining why your friend would like it. However, the response is 10 words under the 150-word minimum, which negatively impacts the score. The ideas are relevant but remain somewhat underdeveloped due to the brevity and the repetitive nature of the sentences. To improve, you should expand on the description of the bicycle and provide more detail about your interactions with your friend to ensure the letter feels more natural and meets the length requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter follows a basic logical progression, moving from the purpose of the letter to the description and finally the recommendation. However, the use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate, such as 'Frother more' (likely meant 'Furthermore') and 'become when' (which does not function as a logical connector). Paragraphing is attempted but is not fully effective as the ideas are somewhat disjointed. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words like 'consequently', 'in addition', or 'as a result' to help the flow of your ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive, relying on simple structures like 'I sell my bicycle' and 'I not using my bicycle'. There are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'I not used longer' instead of 'I no longer use' and 'The company of bicycle is Hero' instead of 'The brand of the bicycle is Hero'. While the meaning is generally clear, the limited range of vocabulary prevents a higher score. Try to incorporate more descriptive adjectives and varied verbs to make your writing more engaging.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, particularly with verb tenses and sentence construction. For example, 'I write a letter' should be 'I am writing a letter', and 'my father buy a new motorcycle' should be 'my father bought a new motorcycle'. The misuse of negatives ('I not used') and missing articles ('in market' instead of 'in the market') are consistent issues. While you attempt some complex sentences, they are often faulty. Focusing on basic subject-verb agreement and correct tense usage will significantly improve your accuracy.
