Writing
Dear Priyd
Hello priya. How are you? I hope you are doing well. I am writing you this maili to informed you that I have bicycle it is no longer using for me Now I would like to sell you.
I bought this bicycle two years ago, but recently I have started going to work by car, so I hardly use it anymore. It is blue mountain bike with a comfortable seat and strong tyres. it is in very good condition because I have always taken goal care of it. There are only few small scratches on the huntly but they do Not affect it is on performance.
I through you might be interested in buying it because you often go cycling in the park. It is very comfortable and easy to ride, even on long journeys. I can offer it to you at a reasonable price of $ 150, which is much cheaper than buying a new one.
Please let me know if you are
interested. We can meet this weekend
so that you can have a look at it
and take it for a short ride.
Best wishes
Suman

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The letter successfully addresses all three bullet points required by the prompt. You clearly explain why you are no longer using the bicycle (switching to a car), provide a physical description (blue, mountain bike, comfortable seat, strong tyres), and explain why your friend would benefit from it (cycling in the park, reasonable price). The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend, and the purpose of the communication is clear throughout. The response is well-developed and covers all requirements of the task effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, with each section serving a specific purpose. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'because', 'so', and 'although' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by minor errors in sentence structure and punctuation. The progression of ideas is logical, moving from the reason for selling to the description, then to the benefits for the friend, and finally the call to action. The paragraphing is appropriate for a formal/semi-formal letter format.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, such as 'reasonable price', 'performance', and 'condition'. There are some noticeable errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'maili' instead of 'email', 'goal care' instead of 'good care', and 'huntly' which seems to be a misspelling or misuse of a term. While these errors do not impede the overall meaning, they indicate a need for more precision in word selection and proofreading to reach a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'it is no longer using for me' (should be 'it is no longer used by me'), 'I through you' (should be 'I thought you'), and 'it is on performance' (should be 'its performance'). While these errors are frequent, they rarely prevent the reader from understanding your message. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of possessive pronouns versus contractions (e.g., 'its' vs 'it is').
