Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You cover all three requested points: you explain that you are moving abroad, describe the bicycle as a black Hero model with gears and a light frame, and connect it to Akash’s interest in cycling and health. However, the reasons and features are only briefly presented, and some details are unclear—for example, “numerious features” is not explained, and the claim that it works on “any surface” is not supported. The letter is also 4 words below the required minimum, so it does not fully meet the task requirement. Develop the bicycle’s condition and features more clearly, and explain specifically how it would suit your friend’s daily needs.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a recognisable sequence: an opening, information about your move and the bicycle, reasons Akash might want it, and a closing request. Paragraph breaks help separate these points. However, progression is sometimes mechanical: “Moreover” and “Secondly” do not clearly show the relationship between the ideas, and the second paragraph combines several details in one long sentence. The reference “that bicycle” is understandable but could be introduced more smoothly. Use clearer paragraphing for the reason you are selling it, its description, and why it suits Akash; connect each point with simple, accurate transitions rather than relying on numbered sequencing.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant vocabulary for describing a bicycle and its appeal, including “light weight,” “gear shifting,” “comfortable,” and “health conscious.” These choices communicate the general idea, but the range is limited and several word forms, spellings, or collocations are inaccurate, such as “numrious features,” “peddles,” “differnt,” and “colour is black which you finding.” “Any surface” is also an imprecise description of where the bicycle can be ridden. Aim for more natural phrases such as “a lightweight frame,” “gears,” and “you were looking for a black bicycle.” Proofreading spelling and choosing precise descriptions would make the letter clearer and more fluent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the main message is generally recoverable. However, errors occur frequently in basic sentence construction and verb forms. For example, “I hope your doing well” needs a possessive form and a more complete structure, while “you looking for bicycle” is missing an auxiliary and an article. In “it have numrious features,” the subject and verb do not agree, and “please let me know if you wanna to buy” has an incorrect verb pattern. Several ideas are joined with commas, creating run-on sentences. Practise complete clauses, subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation, then divide the long description into shorter sentences.
