Dear gagan

i hope you are doing well. I write this letter in the regard of bicycle that i want to sell to you. I am not using this from long time.

As you know that i move towards downtown. There are alot of routes of buses and trains. Due to the public transport i am not using my bicycle. I love to use public transport it is very helpful for till late night as well. Because of good public transport i am not using my bicycle from long time.

Now i will explain my bicycle. you had already seen my bicycle right. It is in black colour. The hight is also adjustable you can adjust any time. Moreover, this has space on back side tu put bag also have small space for water bottle and to keep phone for navigating the way to work or college. i will sell this to you in cheaper amount only with $500.

According to me, i think it is very helpful for you. I have heared that in which location you move there is limited buses of routes. i think if you buy it that would be good for you to come home on the time at night instead of waiting for ling time for buses.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

The letter addresses all three points: you explain that moving downtown and having access to buses and trains means you no longer need the bicycle, describe its colour and adjustable height, and give reasons your friend may find it useful. The details about the rear bag space, bottle holder and phone space make the description relevant, while the limited bus service and late-night travel support your recommendation. Your purpose—offering the bicycle for sale—is clear throughout. To make the ideas more fully developed, explain the bicycle’s condition or age and clarify the price and whether it is negotiable. The reason your friend would like it is relevant, though it could be linked more directly to their particular journeys or needs. Overall, the task is clearly and completely addressed, with some scope to extend the supporting details further.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The information follows a sensible order: you introduce the offer, explain why you no longer use the bicycle, describe it, and then explain why it could suit your friend. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these main stages, and linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “According to me” signal additions and your recommendation. This gives the letter a coherent overall arrangement. However, some connections are repetitive: the point about public transport appears several times, and “According to me, i think” repeats the same function. A few references, such as “this” in “I am not using this,” are not fully clear without rereading. To strengthen progression, remove repeated points and use more precise references, while keeping the clear paragraph structure.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough vocabulary to communicate the offer and the bicycle’s features, including “adjustable,” “navigating,” “public transport,” and “limited buses.” These choices help convey practical details, and the reader can understand the main message. However, the range is limited in places, and several word choices or collocations sound unnatural, such as “in the regard of bicycle,” “cheaper amount,” and “routes of buses.” There are also spelling errors, including “heared,” “hight,” and “ling,” which reduce accuracy and polish. Aim to learn common phrases for selling an item and describing its condition, and check spelling carefully. More precise, natural vocabulary would make the letter sound more fluent and persuasive.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The letter includes both simple sentences and attempts at longer structures, for example, “Because of good public transport i am not using my bicycle from long time.” The sequence of ideas is generally understandable, but grammatical control is inconsistent, and several sentence patterns need revision. Examples include “I write this letter” instead of a suitable present-perfect form, “I am not using this from long time,” and “i think if you buy it that would be good for you,” where tense, articles, and clause structure are problematic. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, particularly at sentence beginnings and in the closing. Practise accurate present and past forms, articles, and conditional sentences, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
