Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.5
You address all three points clearly: you explain that the move to another province for work means you no longer use the bicycle, describe its gears, light, lithium battery, speed and Bluetooth speaker, and connect the offer to Rohan’s childhood wish. The personal details make the letter relevant and give it a clear purpose. The reason your friend might want it is supported, although the link between his interest and the specific features could be developed a little more—for example, by explaining which features suit his needs. The offer to let him choose a comfortable price is also clear. Overall, the task is fully covered with relevant supporting detail; more precise development of the friend’s likely benefits would strengthen it further.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter follows a sensible overall order: you open with a personal greeting, explain why you have stopped using the bicycle, describe it, and then make the offer. This progression helps the reader understand your purpose. You also use time references such as “last year” and “for a couple of months” to add context. However, some links between ideas are awkward or unclear, particularly “so the reason, why l asked you to buy it,” and the long sentence beginning “As last year when we met.” The description and the explanation of Rohan’s interest would be easier to follow in separate paragraphs. The closing is appropriate, but consistent sentence boundaries and capitalization would make the organisation feel more controlled.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main details, including “lithium battery,” “gear shifting,” “inbuilt Bluetooth speaker,” and “childhood dream.” These specific terms help the reader picture the bicycle and understand why it may appeal to Rohan. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “battery bicycle,” “moved to another province due to change in my workplace location,” and “give what ever comfortable for you.” Spelling and written forms also need attention: “cylce,” “its” for “it’s,” and “don,t” reduce the overall accuracy. Aim for more natural phrases such as “electric bicycle,” “relocated for work,” and “pay whatever you’re comfortable with,” while checking spelling and apostrophes.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to combine ideas in longer sentences, for example when explaining the move and describing the bicycle, but these structures are often faulty. “The battery bicycle that i have no longer i am using it” has an unclear clause structure, while “As last year when we met in party you told me…” does not form a complete, well-controlled sentence. There are also recurring errors with articles, tense, agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “since we spoke last time” and “its comes with 25 km/hr speed.” Most sentences therefore require editing before they read naturally, and punctuation and capitalization are inconsistent. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then connect them with clauses such as “because” and “when”; this will let you express the same details more clearly.
