Dear Sarah,
Certainly you are doing grate. I am writing to let you know that I am on the road for a new job.
Looking at the current number of my family and current situation and state of my husband, I have decided to search for a new greener job that will aid in proper running of the family.
I would want a part time job, specifically wednesdays, fridays and full time on weekend . This will enable me shuttle between my current job and the one am aiming at. Specifically, it will not be outside the central London, with this, I will not embark on a house hunt as well as it will not be too far from my place of resident, my current place of work and the new onw am hoping for.
Please Sarah dear, I need your assistant on this my new job hunt as they said that two heads are better than one. And with your position in the society, an certain that you can easily help me sail through.
Thanks for assisting me.
Yours friend,
Ify

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.5
You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You explained the motivation for seeking a new job, described the specific schedule and location requirements, and made a clear request for your friend's assistance. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend, maintaining a personal and informal style throughout. The ideas are relevant and clearly presented, ensuring the reader understands your situation and your specific needs. To reach a higher band, ensure that your explanations are slightly more detailed, perhaps by elaborating on why you feel your friend is particularly well-positioned to help you beyond just mentioning their 'position in society'.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The letter follows a logical progression, moving from the purpose of the letter to the specific requirements and finally the request for help. Paragraphing is used, though it could be more distinct to separate the different ideas more clearly. You use some cohesive devices like 'Specifically' and 'And with your position', which help link your thoughts. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical or repetitive. To improve, try to vary your linking words and ensure that each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed theme to enhance the flow of the letter.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, such as 'embark on a house hunt' and 'sail through'. However, there are several instances of awkward phrasing or word choice errors, such as 'greener job' (which is not a standard collocation in this context) and 'proper running of the family'. Additionally, there are minor spelling errors like 'grate' instead of 'great' and 'resident' instead of 'residence'. While these do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precision in your word choice and attention to spelling to reach a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as 'This will enable me shuttle between my current job and the one am aiming at.' However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the central London'), verb forms ('I am on the road for a new job'), and missing pronouns ('the one am aiming at'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some missing commas and incorrect capitalization. While your meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevent a higher score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and consistent use of articles.
