Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The letter addresses all three bullet points: explaining the reason for the job search, describing the desired role, and requesting assistance. However, the development of these points is somewhat limited. While you mention your diploma and license, the explanation of why you are looking for a new job is a bit repetitive, focusing heavily on your excitement rather than specific career goals. The description of the job is also quite general, mentioning 'any team at any hospital'. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific details about the type of nursing environment or specialism you are interested in, which would make the request more personal and engaging for the reader.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is organized into three distinct paragraphs, which is appropriate for a letter. Ideas are generally logical, moving from your recent achievement to your current goal and finally to the request for help. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat basic and occasionally repetitive (e.g., the frequent use of 'I' to start sentences). The transition between the first and second paragraphs could be smoother. While the overall message is clear, the flow is slightly mechanical, and the letter would benefit from a wider variety of linking words to connect ideas more naturally.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. You use common phrases like 'very good score' and 'really worked hard', which are functional but not sophisticated. There are some minor issues with word choice, such as 'written my examination of license' (should be 'passed my licensing exam') and 'step in this career' (should be 'start my career'). To improve, try to incorporate more specific professional terminology related to nursing and use more descriptive adjectives to convey your enthusiasm and professional readiness.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There is a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but accuracy is inconsistent. You have several grammatical errors, such as 'successfully I have completed' (word order), 'i have written' (capitalization), and 'if you know if any organisation' (redundant 'if'). Punctuation is also an issue, specifically with the placement of commas and the lack of proper capitalization for the pronoun 'I'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they occur frequently enough to limit the score. Focusing on sentence structure and proofreading for basic errors will help improve your accuracy.
