Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all three bullet points of the task: explaining why you want a new job, describing the desired role, and asking for help. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For example, while you mention wanting a change from early childhood education, you could have elaborated more on the specific skills you hope to transfer to the IT sector. The request for help is clear, but the letter would benefit from a more natural flow in the transition between your current situation and your future goals. Overall, the response is relevant and covers all requirements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is logically organized into paragraphs, each serving a specific purpose. You use some basic cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'In addition', and 'At last'. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'At last' to introduce a request. The referencing is generally clear, though the opening paragraph is slightly disjointed due to the fragmented sentences ('It's been a long time, we did not meet'). Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would help elevate the coherence of the piece.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, such as 'eagerly waiting' and 'industry'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation. For instance, 'I am searching a new job' should be 'I am searching for a new job', and 'my Indian experience also be counted' is grammatically awkward. You rely on some repetitive phrasing, such as 'It would be great if'. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more precise vocabulary related to professional transitions and networking, and pay closer attention to standard collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text, such as 'we did not meet' (should be 'we haven't met'), 'doing good' (should be 'doing well'), and 'from last 10 years' (should be 'for the last 10 years'). While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the overall accuracy. To improve, focus on verb tenses, particularly the present perfect for duration, and ensure subject-verb agreement is consistent.
