You have decided to look for a new job.

Write a letter to a friend. In your letter
• explain why you are looking for a new job.
• describe the kind of job you would like to have.
• ask your friend to help you find a job

Student answer (Band 6.5)

Dear Priya,

I hope you are doing well. The reason of writing this letter is for asking your help to find me a good job. It's been a while since we have not meet or spoke to each other. I hope everyone at your home are fine.

As you know i was working in an Indian supermarket store from past few months. Unfortunately, my store owner is closing the store and moving back to his home country. I am so much worried because i will not have another job to do. Moreover, I have to pay my college fees so i will have to find a new job.

I remember you are currently working in Walmart supermarket. I checked on the company's online website if there is an hiring going on right now. And i noticed that there are some positions available in cashier department. In addition, i have experience with this position as i was working as cashier at Indian store.

I would be glad if you can find me a job in your store or else if you can give me your ID and i can add your reference in my job application . I will always be grateful for you. I look forward hearing back from you.
