Write a letter to a friend. In your letter

Dear Vijay,

I hope you are doing well. I was wondering if were able to help me with my job search.

As you know, I have been working for three years at a fast-food restaurant chain as a supervisor; I was doing that to fulfil my immigration's mandatory working experience requirement, which has just got fulfilled this year. I am hoping to pivot my career in the direction of my earlier academic and professional interests.

I had worked in manufacturing industries for five years before I came to Canada for higher studies. So, I think going back to working as a mechanical maintenance engineer in a manufacturing unit would be a better decision keeping in mind the handsome salary the industrial sector offers.

I am aware that you have been in the chemical production units for a decade now and must have some strong connection in the industry. It would be a great favor, if you could refer me for any entry level position that could provide a start to my career.

Please let me know if you would be able to sit down with me sometime to discuss the prospect of my employment in more detail. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
