Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The letter addresses all three bullet points: the reason for seeking a new job, the desired job type, and the request for assistance. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. While you explain the seasonal nature of your previous work and your physical constraints, the tone is occasionally repetitive, and the explanation of your situation could be more concise. The task is fully covered, but the depth of the explanation is basic, which aligns with the criteria for a Band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The letter lacks clear paragraphing, which is essential for organizing ideas in a formal or semi-formal letter. The flow between sentences is often abrupt, and the use of cohesive devices is minimal or inaccurate (e.g., 'because my pervious job...'). The progression of ideas is present but feels disjointed, as the transition from your job history to your physical health and then to the request for help is not managed with effective linking words. This results in a somewhat mechanical structure.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, relying on basic structures to convey meaning. There are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'mange everything' (manage), 'paining' (painful/hurting), and 'heavy weight work' (physically demanding work). While the message is understandable, the range of vocabulary is insufficient to express ideas with precision or naturalness. To improve, you should focus on learning collocations and more specific adjectives to describe work conditions.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with verb tenses ('is doing seasonal work'), word order, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or lack proper subject-verb agreement, such as 'its start paining' and 'if you know any person who have work'. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. You should focus on mastering simple sentence construction before attempting more complex structures.
