Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The letter covers all three bullet points: explaining the reason for leaving, describing the desired job, and asking for help. However, the response is under the 150-word minimum, which limits the development of ideas. The explanation of the current job is brief, and the description of the desired role is somewhat vague. To improve, you should expand on your professional skills and provide more context about why a bank assistant role is a good fit for you. Because the response is under-length, it does not fully satisfy the requirements of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The letter is organized into short paragraphs, which is appropriate for a personal letter. However, the flow of ideas is somewhat disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is very limited and often mechanical, such as the repetitive use of 'but' and 'I hope'. The transition between the current job situation and the request for help could be smoother. To improve, try using a wider variety of linking words and phrases to connect your sentences more naturally, such as 'consequently', 'furthermore', or 'in addition to this'.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive. Phrases like 'doing teacher job' and 'destination place' are unnatural and reflect a limited range. There are also errors in word choice, such as 'request you that I am looking a new job' (should be 'inform you that I am looking for'). To reach a higher band, you need to use more precise vocabulary related to employment, such as 'career change', 'commute', 'vacancies', or 'professional qualifications'. Avoid repeating simple words and focus on using more descriptive adjectives and accurate collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'I am looking a new job' (missing preposition), 'from last year' (should be 'for the last year'), and 'there are numerous jobs are avilable' (incorrect sentence structure). The sentence structures are mostly simple, with few attempts at complex sentences. To improve, focus on correct verb tenses, preposition usage, and sentence construction. Ensure that you proofread your work to catch basic errors like '1 hours' (should be 'one hour') and spelling mistakes like 'avilable'.
