Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You explained your motivation for seeking a new job (financial pressure and saving for studies), described the desired role (PSW position), and requested assistance from your friend. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend, maintaining a personal and informal style throughout. To reach a higher band, you could expand slightly on the 'kind of job' you would like to have, perhaps mentioning specific working hours or the type of environment you prefer, which would add more depth to your ideas.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter follows a logical progression, moving from the reason for writing to the specific request for help. Paragraphing is present, though the indentation is a bit inconsistent. You use some cohesive devices like 'Moreover' and 'As nowadays', but the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words. Some transitions feel slightly abrupt, such as the jump from discussing grocery prices to asking for a reference. Improving the use of cohesive devices to connect your ideas more fluidly would enhance the overall structure.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for this task, using terms like 'assistance', 'expenses', and 'references' correctly. However, there are some minor inaccuracies and repetitive phrasing. For example, 'high than earlier' is not natural; 'higher than before' would be more accurate. Additionally, the phrase 'Rather than this' is used incorrectly to mean 'Apart from this'. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise collocations and avoiding repetitive sentence starters will help you achieve a higher score in this criterion.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text. Issues include punctuation errors (e.g., 'Hi, How are you doing .'), missing articles (e.g., 'I have certificate in PSW'), and subject-verb agreement or prepositional errors (e.g., 'working in same field'). While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic articles, prepositions, and consistent punctuation will significantly improve your accuracy.
