Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

The response successfully covers all the required bullet points of the task. You clearly explain why you are looking for a new job by mentioning that your current routine has become boring and that you wish to explore different skills. You also describe the kind of job you would like to have, specifically detailing your ambition to become a truck driver due to the travel opportunities and food experiences. Furthermore, you successfully ask your friend for help by explaining that you need a reference. While the ideas are relevant, some parts of the response, such as the explanation of your lifestyle and career choice, are slightly repetitive and under-developed, which prevents the response from reaching a higher band. To improve further, you should expand on your ideas with more specific details and ensure every part of the prompt receives equal, fully articulated development.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter maintains a reasonably coherent overall arrangement, and your intent is understandable throughout. You use basic paragraphing to separate your main ideas, moving from your reasons for leaving your job to your career preference and finally to your request for help. However, the cohesion feels somewhat mechanical and abrupt in places, such as when transitioning with phrases like "So i already applied" or "This is best for me." Referencing is also occasionally unclear, and the lack of a wider variety of smooth cohesive devices means the progression of ideas can feel a bit disjointed. To improve, you should focus on using more natural linking words and transitional phrases to connect your sentences and paragraphs more fluidly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is limited and minimally adequate for the task. You attempt some less common vocabulary related to travel and employment, such as "profession," "culture," and "refrence," but these attempts are often accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and spelling. For instance, phrases like "continusaly doing the same kind of job will boring for me" and "expore different of skills" contain inaccuracies. Additionally, there are several spelling mistakes, including "satinderpal," "exlaining," "diffrent," "refrence," and "lovingly." These lexical inaccuracies do not completely block communication, but they restrict your score. To reach a higher level, you need to expand your vocabulary range, learn correct word collocations, and pay closer attention to your spelling.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You demonstrate a limited range of grammatical structures, relying primarily on simple sentences alongside some attempts at complex forms that are frequently faulty. There are noticeable errors in verb forms, tenses, articles, and prepositions within grammatical patterns, such as in the sentences "i am writing to letter to inform to you" and "you dont pay any dollar for trips." Punctuation and capitalization are also inconsistently applied, with lowercase letters used for the pronoun "i" and at the beginnings of sentences. While these errors occur frequently and can occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader, they do not completely obscure your meaning. To achieve a better band, you must increase your control over sentence structures and eliminate frequent basic errors in grammar and punctuation.
