Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address the three requested points: you explain that the economy is poor and your baking business is not doing well, mention your qualification in procurement and supplies management, and ask Joy to tell you about job opportunities. However, the request for help is quite general, and the kind of job you want is not clearly described; your qualification hints at a field, but you do not state the role or workplace you are seeking. The letter also ends before the required minimum length, so the ideas remain limited and under-developed. Add details about the position you hope to find and ask Joy for a specific form of help, such as sharing vacancies or introducing you to a contact.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The information is broadly relevant and follows a sensible order: you give the reason for changing jobs, discuss opportunities and qualifications, then close with a request for news. However, most of the content is compressed into two long paragraphs, and the first two sentences run together, making the progression difficult to follow. Connections such as “If any chance” and “and” do not clearly show how the ideas relate, while the qualification and request for questions feel abruptly added. Use separate paragraphs for your reason, the job you want and your request, and connect each point with clear, accurate transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the situation, including “job opportunity,” “curriculum vitaes,” “degree,” and “Procurement and supplies management.” This gives the reader a basic understanding of your employment background and plans. However, the range is limited, and several spelling errors or awkward expressions make the letter less clear, such as “bacause,” “bussiness,” “diffrent,” and “crete time.” “Curriculum vitaes” is also not the natural plural form in this context; “CVs” would be more appropriate. Aim to check spelling carefully and use precise phrases for the role you want and the assistance you are requesting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You communicate the main message using simple statements and make an attempt to combine ideas, for example in “the economy had been bad and my baking bussiness is also not doing well.” However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and several sentences are incomplete or joined without appropriate punctuation. “i hope you well” is missing a verb, while “If any chance you hear…” lacks a complete grammatical structure. Verb forms and sentence boundaries also need attention in “i have been looking for a job,the economy had been bad.” Use complete sentences, check tense consistency, and separate independent ideas with full stops or suitable conjunctions.
