Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three points: you explain that you were dismissed after repeated warnings, specify agricultural work in the Toronto area, and ask Harman to help by finding a job. The reason for leaving is clear, and the details about your education and commute make your preferences relevant. This meets the task well, though some parts are less fully developed: for example, you do not say what role or working conditions in agriculture you prefer, and the request for help could be more specific, such as asking your friend to contact employers or share vacancies. The letter is appropriate for a friend, but a little more detail and a clearer, warmer request would make the response more complete and developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The information follows a generally understandable order: you explain your situation, describe the work you want, and then ask Harman for assistance. The opening and closing also help identify the letter’s purpose and audience. However, most of the content is presented in one long paragraph, so the shift from explaining why you need work to describing your preferences is not clearly signposted. Linking words such as “Actually” and “Moreover” are used, but the sequence of ideas sometimes feels compressed, particularly in the sentence listing what your CV contains. Use separate paragraphs for the reason, job preferences, and request, and make links between ideas more natural to create clearer progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main points, including relevant terms such as “agriculture sector,” “commute,” “amenities,” and “resume.” There is some attempt to be specific about your background and job search. However, several word choices and collocations are unnatural or inaccurate, including “searching for a work,” “find a job for me,” and “I would appreciate you.” Spelling errors such as “comany,” “Totonto,” and “efficiney” also reduce accuracy. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, but they make parts of it less natural. Aim for standard phrases such as “looking for work,” “help me find a suitable position,” and “I would really appreciate your help.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use both simple sentences and longer structures, including a sentence that explains the sequence of warnings and dismissal. The main message remains understandable, and some sentence patterns are controlled. However, there are several grammatical errors in longer sentences. For example, “I am writing this letter to you to inform that” needs an object after “inform,” and “same happens again an again” has problems with tense and sentence structure. In “my previous education and background is,” the subject requires a plural verb, while “where I can commute easily as it is located” leaves the reference of “it” unclear. Check articles, verb agreement, and sentence boundaries, and divide long sentences where needed.
