Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three points: you explain that your current work-from-home marketing role is causing difficulties, describe your interest in photography and editing, and ask Arsh to help you find work in his city and company. The purpose is clear and the details about deadlines and content creation make your reason relevant. The job preference is also identifiable, although the description focuses more on your hobby than on the duties or conditions you want in a photo-editing role. Your request for help could be more specific—for example, asking whether your friend knows of vacancies or can introduce you to a hiring manager. This covers the task well overall, with some ideas less fully developed than others.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall sequence: opening and reason for writing, explanation of your current difficulties, preferred career, and a request for assistance. Separate paragraphs help the reader follow these stages, and links such as “As you know,” “Overall,” and “Owing to these reasons” show how ideas relate. Some connections are less smooth, however: the opening combines several purposes in one sentence, and “Overall” does not quite introduce a conclusion to the preceding details. The final request also repeats the idea of seeking help without clearly distinguishing the two actions. A more direct progression, with each paragraph focused on one purpose and fewer formulaic links, would make the cohesion more flexible.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “digital marketing representative,” “deadlines,” “scenic views,” and “photo editor,” so your meaning is generally understandable. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “capturing a beautiful moments” and “problematic factors,” but some choices are inaccurate or unnatural and reduce precision. Spelling errors such as “chnage,” “submiting,” and “photograpy” are noticeable, while phrases such as “seek a suggestion” and “apply this job” do not express the intended meaning naturally. The range is sufficient to communicate your ideas, but greater accuracy in collocations, word forms, and spelling is needed for more flexible and precise expression.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the clause beginning “because” and the sentence starting “Owing to these reasons.” Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. For example, “How's going everything” has incorrect word order, “I had lose my interest” uses an incorrect verb form, and “I am looking forward to hear” needs a gerund after “to.” Articles and number also need attention in “a employment” and “a beautiful moments.” These errors occur alongside some correctly formed sentences, such as “I have a keen interest in photography and editing.” Review verb patterns, articles, and singular/plural agreement, while continuing to practise varied sentence structures.
