Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address the main purpose and all three requested points: you explain that you have spent over four years at your company, mention your Data Engineer experience and interest in suitable positions, and ask Akash for suggestions. The friendly opening and closing also fit a letter to a friend. However, the reason for changing jobs is not fully clear: being capable of applying to an MNC and wanting to see what the outside market is like are mentioned, but the benefits you seek from a move are not explained. The type of role is also quite general, and the request could be more specific—for example, asking your friend to share vacancies or introduce you to a contact. Developing these details would make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a clear overall arrangement, moving from the purpose, to your work background and career plans, and then to a request for help. Paragraph breaks support this progression, and phrases such as “To begin with” and “Furthermore” signal transitions. Some linking is mechanical, however, and the sequence within the career paragraph is not always easy to follow: the ideas about your experience, applying to an MNC, and understanding the job market are joined without a clear explanation of how they relate. “Anyway, that’s all for now” also feels slightly abrupt after the request. Use more direct links between reasons and goals, and make the final paragraph close naturally after specifying the help you want.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant employment vocabulary, including “career change,” “interview process,” “Data Engineer,” and “job searching,” so the topic is clear. There are also attempts to use more formal expressions, such as “I would really appreciate it.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, including “new opportunity,” “some advices,” “various kind of positions,” and “suitable with my profile.” Spelling errors such as “experinece,” “poistions,” and “helful” also reduce accuracy. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding your main message, but they make the letter less natural. Focus on standard job-search phrases and check spelling and singular/plural forms when proofreading.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including “I would really appreciate it if you could help me” and “since we have not talked for a while.” The message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence construction. For example, “I have spend” should use the past participle, while “a important” needs the correct article. In “suggestions that is helpful,” the verb does not agree with the plural noun, and “I am that much capable to apply” is not formed naturally. Review present perfect forms, article use, and subject–verb agreement, then check that clauses are connected in complete, clear sentences.
